The Christian High School, a Ministry of Africa International Christian Mission (AICM), in Monrovia sent 29 students to sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSC) for 12th graders across the country. The examinations commenced on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 to April the 20th. However, seven students were excluded due to poor academic performances. They were encouraged to improve their grades to graduate at the end of the year and to sit for WASSCE in April 2019. The Board of Directors require 75 percent for any student to graduate or sit for a public test.
S. Aaron Wheagar, a Journalist of the Christian Newspaper writes, “The Senior class of the Christian High School, on Sunday, April 1, visited the Headquarters Church of the Believers to celebrate the Easter. They were accompanied by their class sponsor, Sunday-boy King, who told the congregation that they were glad to be a part of the worship service. During the service, prayer was offered for the students by Rev. Dr. Liberty who asked the congregation to join him to pray for the students. The seniors were indeed happy to be a part of the service; This was evidenced by their jubilation during the Praise session of the program. They will be writing The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) beginning Tuesday, April 3, 2018, and as a tradition within our denomination, the students had to worship with the church and receive prayers for God’s blessings during the exams. Christian High School is the Academic arm of the Church of the Believers in Liberia.”
